  • Are we truly living the way Christ has called us to live?

God has called us to die every day and to carry our cross daily.

How many of us can truly say that we do that?

I do not. I would like to say that I do but sometimes it’s so hard to be the Christian and stand up for Christ and yet God never said it was going to be easy.

I just finished reading the book I would die for you, which is written by the parents of BJ Higgins a boy that died because he served the LORD. BJ was on fire for God and everyone that knew him knew that he loved the Lord and whenever he had the opportunity he would be sharing about Christ’s Love. He traveled down to Peru one summer on a mission’s trip and got sick but they just thought it was the typical exhaustedness from a mission’s trip but when he returned home he did not get any better. He digressed rapidly and ended up in intensive care. But through all this the body of Christ was united in prayer for him. That was what BJ had always wanted was for the body of Christ to be united and they were becoming united over this boy and his illness. BJ died but God was given the glory. The doctor’s report said that he should not have lived as long as he did but because of prayer he did so that others could be reached for Christ.

We need to die daily and share the love of Christ with everyone no matter where we are. We don’t need to go on missions trips to other countries or even other states in order to God’s work. Your mission field can be your city, town, even your workplace. WE need to reach out to the lost in the world because they are so many that are so very lost. We must start a revolution that spreads like wildfire throughout the nations and share the Gospel. I just think of the song that we all sang in Sunday school when we were little kids, This Little Light of Mine. How in the song you sing hide it under a bushel NO I’m gonna let it shine. How we need to let our light shine no matter where we are or who we are with. Satan is on the prowl and we need to band together as the Body of Christ and share his love. We are all brothers and sisters, we are all the body and we need to start acting like it. Everyone is so very judgmental and sometimes even cliquey where we don’t want to be open to other people but we need to unite as the body of Christ and do his work. WE need to go out to the ends of the earth but we also need to reach out to our neighbors because they also need God’s love.

I hope you all take this summer as an opportunity for sharing God’s love with others and that we can start a revolution that spreads. Pray for each other, have fellowship, let us become the one body of Christ and reach out to others.

I love you all and am praying for you this summer.

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

Are we willing to die for him?

  • I'm wondering
wondering why so much has happened in the past two weeks.
Yeah it's only been two weeks since my life started this whirl wind.
Two weeks ago I found out about Dory and Allison.
Two weeks ago I was hit by tragedy.
    Tonight I was hit again.
My uncle's in the hospiral I hear my mom say,
It doesn't look good, they said to call the family.
I call my mom again...He's not going to make it.
    There's too much brain damage.
I scream not knowing what else to do and begin to cry...
It seems as if I've been crying for the past two weeks but nothing like this.
80% of college students will experience the death of a loved one or friend while in college.
Two weeks in and I already know, soon to become two.
I love my Uncle and I know God can perform miracles.
So I am asking God if it is his will that he save my uncle...
That he becomes this medical miracle and gets well...
But I also ask that God gives my family peace beyond understanding
That he comforts my aunt and cousins...everyone that knew my uncle.
That this situation would be a blessing in disguise and that we know that God's will is done.
Please pray for my family and me as we are going through a really hard time right now...
Please understand that if I don't want to talk it's not because I don't like you, it's I am going through a very trying time in my life and I need my space in which to cope with things and process them.  Thank you.

  • R.I.P. Dory... I'm praying for you Allison

So I'm at college and it's crazy... yesterday I found out that two girls from my high school were in a car accident...one of them is dead and the other is in critical condition with a 50 percent chance of living.  I didn't really know the one who died really well but still I knew her and she will never get to live her life.  Allison is the one who has a 50 percent chance of living and I was friends with her.  Please pray for her, her name is Allison Gallagher and please pray for the family of Doreen.  She will be missed.
